The Web Has Everything -- SUV Edition

So I'm reading this on Metafilter, and I go googling for quotes.

  • "I don't know what happened to her," said Newell. "She's a wonderful person, she's a churchgoing person."
  • "She charged them. This was the most deliberate act," witness Russell McPhee said. "After she ran them down, she got out of the car and lit a cigarette like a movie star."
  • "If the kids were throwing rocks at her, she probably felt like anybody else would," Newell said. "She would never hurt anything."

Okay. Mission accomplished. I was hoping for more, but of Google's 146 hits, there were only a half-dozen different bits of news copy, and most of them were in compressed and quote-less News Of The Weird format.

But then, what happens? Fellow MeFite chaz finds this:

The Women in SUVs blog. Weird, weird, weird.

Of course, they missed this one: SUV washed into ocean. But then, Women In SUVs might have caught it and declined to post it because they couldn't verify that any women were involved -- having paged through all five (five? How paltry, Google News!) linked articles, I couldn't find any reference to gender.

People. Occupants. Teens. And there was, apparently, drinking, but no one, thankfully, was hurt. I'm presuming that's because no golf balls were involved.
